Wall Stadium (Doha)

Wall Stadium (Doha)

The Wall (also nicknamed as "The Laptop") is the world's first underground stadium.

Its design concept was created by the architecture firm MZ & Partners. At the moment the design is still in draft stage. A lawn and stand will be built in the basement of the stadium. It has an advantage of having fresh air beneath the feet thus adding to the overall speed of the game as players are fresh through out the game. Also due to the cashing on the ground the overall acoustics is improved as well. This is considered a revolutionary design.

With a capacity to seat 11000, construction of The Wall will complete in 2010.
