The Woodlands wildlife council (WWC) is a British charitable organisation which works to promote conservation and help many other charitable organisations e.g. The RSPB and WWF. It has only a small population of members and volunteers which help keep it running. The WWC is based in south-east Essex, England. It was started up by a boy called Steven Allain who was passionate about wildlife and wanted to help the wildlife in his local area.

History

The WWC used to be called the Wasted Wildlife Club but beacuse of the split up of the band (Wasted), who had been supporting the WWC, the members decided to change the organisation's name. After a few meetings an eventual solution to the problem was found. They kept the same abbreviated form - WWC; but now it had a new meaning. The Woodlands Wildlife Council.

The WWC enjoy training people to herp, with the respect and correct attitude, so that the animals do not feel threatend and they do not get harmed. They enjoy herping in a secret location that only the trusted members of the group know of its were abouts. They are also very successful fishermen. They go fishing regularly and catch many carp and tiddlers with some tench.
