Alejandro Lofig (born on April 1, 1974) is an Mexican guitarist and former guitar instructor. From an early age he felt a great attraction towards art, especially towards music. Initially, he showed an interest in drums, bass and keyboards until finally, at the age of 17, and influenced by his brother Mauricio, he joined a church choir and took up the guitar. During the course of mastering his instrument, he had always been creating. However, his professional composing began at the age of 25 when he set himself to create, through the computer, the sounds of the instruments that he was unable to perform live (drums, keyboards, brass) and overdubbing live guitars, keyboards and basses. In 2002, Alejandro created a small recording studio (Lofig Studio) where he makes musical arrangements (and give life to the instruments) for theater productions, he has arranged 5 musicals for "La Estación" [http://www.myspace.com/laestacionteatro] . He has participated in several great quality musical projects as the "Tribute to Rockdrigo González" where he shared credits with prestige musicians like Santa Sabina and Iraida Noriega. He is heavily influenced by Steve Stevens, Devin Townsend, Pink Floyd and Joe Satriani.

Solo

Alejandro has also released a solo album, entitled "7 Años". It was released in May 2007, recorded at Lofig Studio, Mixed and mastered by "Manuel Montiel" [http://www.myspace.com/manuelmontiel] at Yolotl Producciones. This album is a rich mixture between a modern instrumental progressive rock with a subtle combination of 80's sounds, completely apt for all audiences. Alejandro continues to tour with his own band and he's creating a new project with ex-members of recognized progressive rock band "Delta de Dirac" [http://www.myspace.com/deltadedirac] called "Suite Omega", this project will be acomplished very soon.
