This article provides simple descriptions of those streets in the New York City borough of Brooklyn which are designated as 'West X' Street. These streets are oriented north-south and run west of West Street.
West 1st Street exists in two segments. The street runs one way northbound on one lane. The first segment runs from 65th Street to Kings Highway. The second segment runs from Village Road South to Avenue Z.
West 2nd Street exists in three segments. The street runs one way southbound on one lane. The first segment runs from 65th Street to Kings Highway. The second segment runs from Avenue X to Shore Parkway. The third segment starts in Trump Village and ends at West Brighton Avenue.
West 3rd Street exists in three segments. The street runs one way northbound on one lane. The first segment runs from 65th Street to Avenue T. The second segment runs from Avenue X to Shore Parkway. The third segment starts in Trump Village and ends at West Brighton Avenue.
West 4th Street extends southbound, one way on one lane from 65th Street to Avenue U.
There is no West 14th Street (it is Stillwell Avenue), no West 26th Street, and no West 34th Street.
