Neilly Davies Consulting Engineers is a civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1977, the company provides structural design, civil design and stormwater design services across New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.^[1]

Overview

Neilly Davies Consulting Engineers operations are divided into seven broad Engineering Services “Business Units”:

Various technical disciplines sit within these broad categories. For example, specialist steel design and concrete design staff are based in the Structural Design Business Unit. The Building Inspections Business Unit includes commercial, residential and industrial development, alterations and additions to multi residencies, hospitals and schools.^[2]
In 2007, the company, lead by Managing Director, Bala Muhunthan introduced a Bridge Management Business Unit to cater for the needs of Local Government authorities across Australia in managing their infrastructure assets. Muhunthan's experience stems from his years at the New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority as a Bridge Maintenance Planner in the Northern Region, Bridge Maintenance Manager in the Sydney Region and later, Acting Sydney Maintenance Contracts Manager responsible for 800 bridges in the Sydney Region..^[3]
The Bridge Management Unit includes asset management systems, structural building inspections, inventory setup and management, routine inspections and report, structural capacity assessments, heavy vehicle route strategy, maintenance strategy, maintenance programming, lifecycle costing, funding proposals and feasibility studies.
Neilly Davies Consulting engineers have a long-standing association with Tennis New South Wales and are the trusted consulting engineers of several of Australia's leading swimming pool companies. In June 2008, Neilly Davies joined the Engineers Australia Professional Development Program.^[4]
