The 1985 Intercontinental basketball Cup took place at Barcelona and Girona. From FIBA European Championship participated Virtus Roma, CSP Limoges, Cibona, Barcelona. From Liga Sudamericana participated CA Monte Líbano, CD San Andres, Guantanamo CB, from NCAA Golden Eagles, from Africa CD Maxaquene and from Asia Northern Consolidated Cement.
