description=The medal is semi-oval in shape and bronze in color, and superimposed in the center of the center of the inner circle is a relief head of the great orator and 1st editor of the Philippine Revolutionary Paper "La Solidaridad" - Graciano Lopez Jaena dressed in an 1800s coat and tie. Etched on the lower parabola of his chest is the hero's name over an enameled red field. A wreath of Sampaguita has its tendrils lie in the ancient Filipino script "K" encased in a red triangle at the center base. There are flowers laid on the outer border of the inner circle arching 2/3 upwards suppporting a royal blue enameled scroll with the embossed latin words "Veritas" (Truth) and "Patria" (Country) to the left and right respectively.
