History
Before Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy's doors were open in the Fall of 2008, the school was once called Alexander Hamilton Middle School.

Uniform Policy
Each student who enrolled into Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy must be required to wear a school uniform and follow the dress code of the academy. The students must wear the complete school uniform at all times. The academy uniform color are khaki pants and skorts, white oxford uniform button shirts with academy logo, boys must wear a navy blue necktie, black dress shoes, black leather belts, and the navy blue blazer with the academy logo also on it. Students may not wear anything over their uniform that covers the academy logo or that draws attention away from the academic climate. Students can purchase their school uniform at Kids Place on Broad Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey or they can order them online by American Wear at their website: www.americanwear.com
