Megadeth 's debut albumKilling Is My Business... And Business Is Good! , and 6th track on the 2002 re-release. The lyrics areDave Mustaine 's interpretation of what may have been the last words ofJesus Christ . On the re-release of the 1985 album, Mustaine states:
"This song was what I imagined might possibly have been the last words of Christ. Similar to the movie, "The Last Temptation of Christ ", I have my own interpretation of what it may have been like to have been Jesus and what he may have been thinking at the time of his death." [Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! 2002 re-remaster information booklet]
The song was originally entitled "Speak No Evil" and was played at a much slower pace before the album's release. The first guitar riff, noted as a solo by Mustaine, is played by 'tapping' full chords (as opposed to single notes) using both the right and left hands on the guitar fretboard. The bell used in the song was an idea Mustaine states probably was influenced byAC/DC .References
