Smooth Island (Tasmania)

Smooth Island is a privately owned island, with an area of 59 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Sloping Island Group, lying close to the south-eastern coast of Tasmania around the Tasman and Forestier Peninsulas.Brothers, Nigel; Pemberton, David; Pryor, Helen; & Halley, Vanessa. Flora and fauna

The islands natural vegetation has been largely destroyed and it is mainly a grass paddock with thistles, bracken, scattered boxthorn bushes and some remnant eucalypts.

Recorded breeding seabird species are Little Penguin and Short-tailed Shearwater.
