The 2008-09 Speed Skating World Cup/500 m Women will start in the first weekend of November at the Berlin World Cup event and conclude at the 2008-09 Speed Skating World Cup/World Cup Final in Salt Lake City in March [ [http://isu.sportcentric.net/db//files/serve.php?id=1014 2008/2009 ISU World Cup] ] . Defending titlist is German Jenny Wolf who won the 2007-08 edition.
