Bandra -Kurla complex is a planned commercial complex in the suburbs of theIndia n city ofMumbai (Bombay). According toMMRDA , the complex is the first of a series of "growth centres" created to "arrest further concentration" of offices and commercial activities inSouth Mumbai . It change the travel pattern in mumbai.This complex has come up on marshy land on either side of
Mahim Creek .Currently, BKC (abbreviation) houses the following commercial buildings:Asian Heart Institute, [ICICI Bank] , Bharat Diamond Bourse, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, American School of Bombay, Fortune500 etc.

The MMRDA was appointed as the "Special Planning Authority" for planning and developing the Bandra-Kurla complex in
1977 .In 2007,
