The Comcast Arena at Everett, formally known as the Everett Events Center, is a $71.5 million dollar muti-purpose complex that was designed and developed by the City of Everett Public Facilities District. The arena opened its doors in September 2003. The 10,000 seat venue hosts a variety of events including concert performances by Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Jonas Brothers, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Katharine McPhee, Bette Midler, Tool, Dolly Parton, Barenaked Ladies, Dierks Bentley, Blue Man Group, Def Leppard, Cher, The Cure, Duran Duran, Bill Gaither, Third Day, Toby Mac, Steven Curtis Chapman, Maroon 5, James Blunt, Panic! at the Disco, Santana, Lilly Allen, So You Think You Can Dance, Martina McBride, Hilary Duff, Modest Mouse, The Kooks, My Chemical Romance, Mannheim Steamroller, GreenDay, Newsboys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Oasis, Juan Gabriel, Guns N Roses and many more. Other events that showcase at the Comcast Arena at Everett Events Center include Ringling Brothers Circus, ice skating, moto cross events and family shows such as Disney on Ice, Harlem Globe Trotters, Sesame Street Live and a myriad of others. In October, the venue will be hosting 2008 Skate America, a three day ice-skating championship featuring world class skaters. Other upcoming events include Rockband Live featuring Panic! at the Disco, Dashboard Confessional, and Plain White Tees. As well as America's Best Dance Crew, Celtic Thunder, Sarah Brightman, and Neil Young with special guest Death Cab for Cutie.

Hockey

The Comcast Arena at Everett is also home to the Everett Silvertips, a Western Hockey League franchise. In their first year (2003) the Everett Silvertips were led by former Stanley Cup Winner Kevin Constantine, to win the WHL Western Conference Championship. Since then, the Everett Silvertips have gone on to set a record for the most wins and points for an expansion team. Throughout their five years in Everett, the Silvertips have welcomed well over 1.3 million fans into the Comcast Arena while accumulating 201 wins as they have proven to be the exemplary threat in the Western Hockey League.

Conference Center

The Edward D. Hansen Conference Center is a $12 million dollar addition to the Comcast Arena at Everett Events Center. The conference center was designed by H2K Design and Botesh, Nash & Hall as a world class facility that includes state-of-the-art amenities with an unmatched versatility. This aesthetically innovative three story facility includes a convert|12000|sqft|m2|sing=on ballroom that is capable of accommodating 800 guests. In addition to the ballroom the conference center has three executive meeting rooms ranging from 700-900 square feet which makes for the ideal private meeting space. The Northwest’s premier conference center hosts over 200 hundred events annually ranging from meetings, tradeshows, banquets, galas, receptions and much more. The conference center is also home to the City of Everett’s collection of art masterpieces which includes artwork from the infamous Pilchuck Glass Collection.

Ice Rink

The Comcast Community Ice Rink is a NHL regulation 200’ x 85’ice rink that is located inside Comcast Arena. It is an enormous public ice skating rink, which is used for public skating, local hockey leagues, figure skating, instructional sessions and much more. This rink offers the local community a fun experience at an affordable price. The general cost of admission for “Open Skate” is only $6.25 plus the additional skate rental fee of $2.75, for a grand total of $9.00 for hours of fun and laughs. Currently the rink is open year round, and has the versatility to transform into a convert|57000|sqft|m2|sing=on space that has the capability to host trade shows, expositions, consumer showsand special events.
