Morgan’s Hardware was built in the early 1930s by Mr. L Morgan and his family on Main Street in Woodstock, GA. When it first was opened in was only a small one room building. Over the years the store’s popularly and business grew. Mr. Morgan sold nuts and bolts, tools, and candy in the early days of the store. About 1960 or so Mr. Morgan moved the store across Main Street, where the store is still located to this day. When Morgan’s Hardware moved across the street they became Morgan’s Ace Hardware, so that they had some backing from a big corporation. Morgan’s Ace Hardware has been family owned and operated since it opened in the 1930s. Customers love to shop there because of the since of family they get when they are in the store. Mike Morgan is the current owner with his wife Jamie Morgan. The store has come along way since the small one room building to a much bigger store. It has gone from selling nuts and bolts to selling paint, lawn mowers, Car-Hart clothing, and parts, along with many other hardware items. Morgan’s Ace Hardware is a landmark in Woodstock, Ga. everyone knows where and what it is. People associate Morgan’s Hardware with Woodstock. It has been there in the past and will continue to be there until it loses it business.
