- Sila National Park
Sila National Park was established in 1997 and covers about 74,000 ha of charming and wild areas in
Calabria . Besides offering exciting landscapes stretching out towardsPollino ,Aspromonte ,Etna , the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Sea, it is also characterized by the presence of several rural and tourist villages and a very rich artistic and cultural heritage. Its highest mountains are Mt. Botte Donato (1,928m), in Sila Grande, and Mt. Gariglione (1,764m) in Sila Piccola.References
