George Arthur Hollis was
Bishop of Taunton from 1931 [Episcopal Changes New Bishop of TauntonThe Times Thursday, Sep 18, 1930; pg. 12; Issue 45621; col C ] to 1945. Born on17 April 1868 he was educated atKeble College, Oxford [“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] andordained in 1894. After this he wasVicar ofHeadingley and then thePrincipal of "Wells Theological College" before a 14 year stint as Suffragan Bishop of Taunton.
