Maurice Charles Hollis (

The son of an Anglican Bishop, he was educated at Eton and Balliol [“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] . He was an assistant master atStonyhurst College from 1925 to 1935 and then alecturer at Notre Dame University, Indiana until the outbreak of theSecond World War during which he served with the RAF.
