Tropical Storm Ida

The name Ida has been used for a total of fifteen tropical cyclones worldwide: twelve in the Western Pacific Ocean, one in the Southwest Indian Ocean and two in the Southwestern Pacific Ocean.

Western Pacific:
* 1950's Typhoon Ida
* 1954's Typhoon Ida
* 1958's Typhoon Ida - struck Japan. known as Kanogawa Typhoon.
* 1961's Typhoon Ida - struck Japan.
* 1964's Typhoon Ida
* 1966's Typhoon Ida - struck Japan.
* 1969's Typhoon Ida
* 1972's Typhoon Ida
* 1975's Typhoon Ida
* 1980's Tropical Storm Ida
* 1983's Typhoon Ida
* 1986's Tropical Storm Ida

Southwest Indian Ocean:
* 1968's Cyclone Ida

Southwest Pacific Ocean:
* 1971's Cyclone Ida - in Coral Sea
* 1972's Cyclone Ida - near Solomon Islands causing $70 million damage.

Ida may be also used in the Atlantic Ocean. Isabel was retired after the 2003 Atlantic hurricane season, and will be replaced by Ida in the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season.
