Welcome to the Club is the first live album of Ian Hunter. After the unexpected success of "You're Never Alone With A Schirzophrenic", Chrystalis wanted to keep the momentum by releasing another album. Because Hunter never wrote when he was on the road, it became a live album which was recorded at the end of 1979 during his U.S tour. [http://www.hunter-mott.com/discography/welcome_to_the_club.html]
However there were several new tracks which were recorded live in the studio. [http://www.hunter-mott.com/discography/welcome_to_the_club.html]
