Dave Katz

Dave Katz (also known as Sluggo) has co-written and/or produced songs for The Cab, Hey Monday, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Gym Class Heroes, Kelly Rowland, The Academy Is..., Mandy Moore, Cobra Starship, Roger Daltrey, Coheed and Cambria, Metro Station, We The Kings, Blake Lewis, Hollywood Undead, and others.

In 2005, Katz partnered with Sam Hollander (S*A*M).[1] The duo have collaborated with artists as diverse as Gym Class Heroes, Boys Like Girls, The Academy Is..., Coheed and Cambria, All Time Low, Blake Lewis, We The Kings, Metro Station, Katy Perry, Charlotte Sometimes and The Virgins.

Highlights include: Co-wrote and produced Gym Class Heroes full length LP, As Cruel As School Children, certified Gold, and spawning three Top 40 singles. The duo co-wrote four songs on Boys Like Girls’ self titled debut CD, including the Platinum certified Top 10 hit “The Great Escape”. Co-writing and producing Metro Station's self-titled release garnered platinum status for the worldwide Platinum certified hit single, "Shake It". Their collaboration with Coheed and Cambria yielded the band’s Top 20 alternative hit single, “The Running Free”, from 2007’s No World For Tomorrow.

Other notable releases include "Fast Times at Barrington High" by The Academy Is..., with the hit single "About A Girl", and Charlotte Sometimes' "Waves and the Both of Us", with "How Could I Just Kill A Man". The two first worked together on the title track for the film Snakes on a Plane (New Line Cinema) performed by Cobra Starship. "Snakes On A Plane" went to #1 on both Fuse and MTV playlists.
