This
Seattle attraction was started just prior to the 1962 World's Fair. It features an Argosy Cruise boat ride toBlake Island , a Washington State Park. Visitors are greeted on the shore by North West Coastal Indians in authentic costume and are given a cup of steaming clams. As visitors enter the long house, they can watch as wholeChinook salmon are cooked on cedar stakes over an alder-wood fire in the tradtional style of Northwest Coastal Indian. This buffet-style meal includes a menu of Traditional Indian-style baked salmon, new red potaoes, warm Tillicum whole grain bread, wild and long grain rice, and a fresh salad bar, as well as Boehms Chocolate salmon dessert. Beverages such as soft drinks, coffee, tea, wine and beer are also available at an extra charge.Upon completing the meal, the Tillicum Village dancers come to life in a spellbinding performance. This North west coastal Indian show is a unique combination of traditional stories, dances, and songs.
Time is provided following the performance where you can visit the gallery that features local artisian artwork, watch a totem pole carving demonstration by Native Americans, and walk along the beaches and trails of
