List of Hagström users

This is a list of musicans who are either high profiled and/or have a long and faithful history of playing Hagström instruments, both of the original run in Sweden and of the current re-issues sold under the Hagström name.

* Mark Arm of the American grungeband Mudhoney plays a Hagström F-model.
* Tim Armstrong of punkband Rancid plays three Hagström Viking's in red, black and pink finishes.
* Maria Anderson and Jennie Asplund of the Swedish all female rockband Sahara Hotnights plays Hagström Swede models.
* Kenya Baker guitarist in Joss Stone backup band plays a Hagströms F-models.
* Richard Bennet who have played with Mark Knopfler, Neil Diamond and many others plays a 1959 Hagström DeLuxe.
* David Bowie played a 12 string acoustc and a red Hagström Kent with matching headstock during the Space Oddity era.
* Kurt Cobain frontman of grungeband Nirvana is known to have owned both a blue Swede model and an right-handed Hagström II, but these were rarley seen used in live performances.
* Curtis Chambers guitarist for P Diddy and LL Cool J plays several different models of the Swede.
* Guy Davis played a H22 acoustic guitar and was used in promotional material in the 1970s.
* Björn Dixgard of Mando Diao plays a Hagström Viking.
* The members of the Swedish Christian progressive doom metal band Veni Domine plays Hagström guitars.
* Skip Dorsey currently the guitarist for Justin Timberlake and formerly of Britney Spears plays Viking and Swede models.
* Singer, composer and actor Bryan Ferry is known to have played a Hagström Electric EDP46 Deluxe from circa 1963 with Roxy Music in the 1970s.
* Buddy Fite played the unusual Hagström Jimmy with an oval soundhole and a Bigsby vibrato.
* Warren Fitzgerald guitarsit from The Vandals and of Gwen Stefani's backup band is known to play a blue Swede.
* One of KISS guitarist Ace Frehley's first ever guitars was a Hagström.
* Mathias Färm of Swedish skate punk band Millencolin plays Hagström guitars.
* Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top has been seen on photoshots bothe with Hagström instruments, but its unknown if they have been used liver or during recordings.
* Dave Gregory the bassist of XTC and later a sessions player used a Hagström Futurama II.
* Simon Grenehed of the post-hardcore band Blindside plays Hagström guitars.
* Multi instrumentalist David Grubbs is known to have played a Hagström guitar.

* Steve Hackett of Genesis has been known to play Hagström BJ12 acoustic guitar on the song "Supper's Ready" in 1973.
* Hannes Hansson former guitarist of Mustasch is endorsed by Hagström and plays two re-issued Ultra Swedes on tour and a vintage Swede from 1975 on recordings and ath home.
* Jimi Hendrix played a eight stringed Hagström bass purchased in 1967 (apparently the sixth ever made), Jimi used during a jam session with Curtis Knight and the Squires and can be heard on the album "Summer of Love Sessions".
* Sharief Hobley guitar player for John Legend, Lauren Hill, Kanye West, Macy Gray and several other plays left-handed Deluxe F-models with Black Sparkle finshes.
* Matt Hogan plays Hagström Swede models guitar on tour with Miley Cyrus backup band.
* Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Colin James has been known to play Hagström guitars.
* Forrest Klein from Hellogoodbye plays several Hagström models including Vikings, HJ-600's, and F200P guitars.
* Damian Kulash guitarist of OK Go plays a Ultra Viking and several other Hagström guitars.
*Andy Kulberg bassist of the shortlived psychadelic rock band Blues Project used a H8 and was alos used in Hagström's promotional material.
* Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo palys a Hagström Swede in his band Gym Class Heroes.
* Nick McCarthy of Franz Ferdinand plays a vintage Hagström P46 guitar.
* Danny McCulloch bassplayer of The Animals was listed as a Hagström H8 user in promotional material from Hagström Guitars.
* Aaron McLain guitarist for Marc Anthony plays a Swede and is endorsed by Hagström.
* Micky Moody former guitarist of Whitesnake plays a Super Swede and a Deluxe 2H guitar.
* Bill Nelson was one of a very few to master the complicated Hagström Swede Patch 2000 a guitar/keyboard hybrid and was also used in promotional material
* Gustaf Noren of Mando Diao plays just as his bandmate a Hagström Viking re-issue.
* Aaron North guitarist form Nine Inch Nails, Jubilee and The Icarus Line plays a black Hagström Super Swede guitar.
* Tim Nordwind of OK Go just like his bandmate plays Hagström guitars.

O-Å

* Erik Ohlsson plays Hagström guitars just like his bandmate Mattias Färm in Millencolin.
* Steve Perry of Aerosmith used a vintage Hagström on "Honkin' On Bobo" from 2004.
* Johan Persson guitarist of Lars Winnerbäck's back up band "Hovet" plays a sunburst Hagström Viking.
* Andy Patridge guitarist of new wawe band XTC used a Hagström on early recordings.
* Elvis Presley played a Hagström Viking DeLuxe during his 68 Comeback Special and later purchased several more Vikings. Hagström used photos of Elvis and the Viking for promtional reasons but had to withdraw the campaign after being contacted by Presley's mangment.
* Noel Redding of The Jimi Hendrix Experience played eightstring bass donated to him by Hagström when they visited Gothenburg, the bass was used on on the songs "Spanish Castle Magic", "You've got me Floating" and "Little miss Lover" from the 1967 albumsAxis Bold As Love.
* Ryan Ross guitarist of Panic at the Disco is endorsed by Hagström and plays Hagström Swede models.
* Mike Rutherford of Genesis played a eight stringed hagström bass on "i know what I like". When asked about the somewhat odd choice of instrument Rutherford replied "People have this thing about these being the guitars to use and those ones not. I go purely on sound. Like acoustics. Everyone raves about Gibson acoustics. I think they're rubbish...."
* Bob Seger has been known to have played a Hagström Swede in the mid 1970's.
* Mike Scott guitarist for Justin Timberlake's backup band plays a Jagström F-model with Amber Sunburst and a Vintage Sunburst Super Swede model.
* Henrik Schyffert Swedish comedian and guitarist of Whale played a red vintage Hagström Super Swede with matching headstock.
* Pat Smear guitarist of Nirvana, Foo Fighters and The Germs have played Hagström exclusivley through out his career and is known to have one of the biggest vintage collections of Hagströms in the USA.
* Pete Smith of the internationally acclaimed ABBA show ABBA-Arrival plays several Hagströms including a Swede with Swedish flag paintjob.
* Cat Stevens played a Hagström BJ12 and H33 acoustic guitars during live performances and recordings.
* Magnus Svennigson of the Swedish pop/rock bandThe Cardigans plays two vintage Super Swede bass guitars.
* Peter Svensson guitarist of The Cardigans plays just like his bandmate above Hagström guitars..
* Björn Ulvaeus guitarist of ABBA played several different Hagströms from the original Swedish production including one with custom blue and yellow graphics. Hagström also supplied ABBA with the PA-system on their first international tour.
* Kemble Walters guitarist of Juliette and the Licks plays a gold sparkle finished Swede model.
* Legendary singer/songwriter Neil Young is known to have several Hagströms in his large guitarcollection, but has not been known to use them live.
* Frank Zappa played a Hagström Viking, a Swede Patch 2000, H12 electric and an 8-string bass as well as promote the Hagström brand through his advertising agency "Nifty Tough & Bitchin" featuring himself in many of the ads.
* Dweezil Zappa of Zappa Plays Zappa plays a Viking just like his father Frank Zappa.
* Jocke Åhlund or Jocko Apa as he is also known plays a vintage Hagström Super Swede bass in his band Teddybears STHLM.
