Titawi

Titawi is a village in Muzaffarnagar within the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India. As of 2006, it has a population of approximately 8,000 within 1,000 households. It is some 14 km from the district headquarters.

The history of Titawi traces back some 300 years when a farmer named Latha established his hut on the bank of the river Hindon. Many of the families that now live in Titawi bear the surname of Lathiyan.

Titawi is developing as an industrial village. Most notable is the Titawi sugar mill.
