High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the Royal Forests

The High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the Royal Forests is a position established by the Normans in England. There was no Sheriff of Nottingham as revealed in the tales of Robin Hood as Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire shared the same administration.

After 1449 the position existed as High Sheriff of Derbyshire and High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire.
