Jimmy Yuill

Jimmy Yuill

Jimmy Yuill is a Scottish actor. Originally hailing from Golspie in the far north of Scotland, he went on to become a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and then later of the Renaissance Theatre Company. He has appeared in many of Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare films, most recently as "Corin" in the 2006 "As You Like It". Yuill was also the music score composer for "A Midwinter's Tale" and "Swan Song". He is possibly best known for the character Doug Kersey in the British television show "Wycliffe". The bulk of his acting work has been in the theatre although he has played a handful of police officers on television. In June 2006 he made his first appearance in "EastEnders" as the recurring character Victor Brown. In November 2007, Yuill took the lead in Sophocles' "Antigone" as Creon, King of Thebes.
