Raja Sajjawal Khan

Raja Sajjawal Khan was famous Zaildar and Assesor in Mirpur. He was born in Mehmunpur. His father was Raja Dewan Ali Khan was a landlord. Raja Sajjawal Khan had inbuilt quality of leadership so worked for the betterment muslims in his area. He competed a reknowned hindu Badri Nath in elections held for the position of Zaildar and defeated him with big margin. Later he was selected as Assesor (a person who used to be consulted in each civil and criminal cases by magistrate). He joined All Jammun and Kashmir Muslim Conference right after its formation. He was kindhearted person in his life and people loved him for his courtesies on them. He died in 1953.
