Terry Maybeck

Terry Maybeck, known as Maybeck throughout the book is a fictional character in the book The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark and . Maybeck is an aspiring actor who is 14-15 years old, but looks as if he's 18-20 years old. He gets chosen to be a DHI because of his computer skills. In both books, he works at Crazy Glaze, a creamics shop runned by his aunt who goes by Jelly. Another thing he's always doing is disagreeing or arguing againts something that he doesn't like.

The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark

In this book, Maybeck is referred to as the 'comuter guy'. He also mentions that he never trusts anyone but himself. But, when he gets captured by the evil Maleficent and the girl she put under a spell to be evil, Jez, he has to trust and rely on Finn Whitman, Willa (Isabella Angelo), Philby, and Charlene Turner to rescue him. All five make up the Kingdom Keepers. But one funny thing that happened that was sort of Maybeck's fault was: when they had found all the letters to the puzzle the kids were working on, he sneezed and all the paper letters went flying everywhere. But as they fell back on the table, the papers themselves spelled out what they needed to say, which is MY FIRST PEN. For Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, he sprayed his hair gray and had the South Africa flag on his sleeve, claining to be Nelson Mandela. At the same event, he, along with Finn and Philby, chased down Jez and Maleficent to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride's dungeons. It turned out to be a trap, but Maleficent let Maybeck and Philby go, but made Finn stay. Finn weaked her and got away.

The Kingdom Keepers II: Disney at Dawn

In this book, all the Kingdom Keepers are looking for the new Jez (click Jez for more details) and each kid has to dress in a coustume that employees wear. Maybeck is dressed as an animal care worker because the whole story is set around Disney's Animal Kingdom. While changing, the kids capture a bat that they believe is under Maleficent's control. It becomes Maybecks job to take it to the bat enclosure in the park. But theres just a minor set back; the witch released the birds under her control at him, and those birds attacked him while a monkey took the bat from him. He ran after them, right into the witches hands. He luckily escapes. When the kids had found another clue about Jez, he argued as usual, saying it wasn't important. So while two others went off to separate parks to follow "The Little Mermaid" clues, Maybeck stayed to figure stuff out about the mysterious monkey and bat, Charlene helped him, and Philby got on the computer to contact Wayne. One time in the book, when Finn was getting carried of by monkeys, Maybeck sprayed the monkeys with a water hose to make them loosen their grip, and it worked. Another time Maybeck actually waited for Finn to reach him before running any further away from the villains, Maybeck of all people, who doesn't think of anyone but himself. He was also the one to terminate the second DHI server.
