Honduras–Russia relations

Honduras-Russia relations are the bilateral relations between Honduras and Russia. Both countries have signed diplomatic missions on September 30, 1990. Honduras covers Russia from Paris, France. And Russia covers Honduras from Managua, Nicaragua (where Russia also covers El Salvador).

Jewish Russian immigranst in Honduras

Honduras had a wave of Jews from Russia in the 1800's-1900's. There had also been immigranst from Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Romania.

The relationships after the breakup of the Soviet Union

Just like Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras recognized Russia as the USSR's succesor on January 3, 1992. Later in 2001, a "Russian house" was built in San Pedro Sula. That is where the two countries mainly have their relationships. There are few Russians living in Honduras today. Most are mainly of Jewish descents.
