He played for the Illawarra Steelers, Western Suburbs Magpies, Western Reds and the North Queensland Cowboys in Australia.
In the later stage of his career he played in the European Super league for the Castleford Tigers.
His favoured position was Lock Forward.
Whilst at Castleford Tigers 'Fritzy' was well liked for his strong tackling.
Dale was a popular player for Cas and is often referred to as a Castleford legend.
