It has a pub called the Hollingwood formerly known as Hollingwood Hotel. It also has a club called the BRSA club on Station rd. It is more commonly known as the 'railway club'. It did have another club called the 'Trough Lees' formerly known as the Lees builings. This is now boarded up and earmarked for housing.
