Every Child By Two

Every Child By Two (ECBT) is a non-profit health advocacy organization, based in the United States and founded in 1991, dedicated to protecting children from diseases through promotion of vaccinations and raising parental awareness of potential vaccine benefits. ECBT was founded by former First Lady of the United States, Rosalynn Carter and former First Lady of Arkansas, Betty Bumpers.

EBCT's pro-vaccination awareness raising campaigns have expanded in recent years in response to growing controversies in autism and vaccine controversies. ECBT's Vaccinate Your Baby campaign was to raise awareness of issues regarding vaccine schedule compliance and to foster systematic programs designed to ensure compliance for all American children by age two. ECBT debuted its [http://www.vaccinateyourbaby.org/ VaccinateYourBaby.org] website in August, 2008, featuring "news and information for parents who wish to learn the truth about immunization and how best to protect their children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Controversy

As a spokesperson for ECBT, actress Amanda Peet caused a stir with the statement, "Frankly, I feel that parents who don't vaccinate their children are parasites," although she later apologized for describing the parents as 'parasites'.
