Thrasyvoulos Tsakalotos

General Thrasyvoulos Tsakalotos ( _el. Θρασύβουλος Τσακαλώτος, April 3, 1897, PrevezaAugust 15, 1989, Athens), was a Hellenic Army officer who served in World War I, the Minor Asia Campaign and World War II. He was commanding officer of the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade during the Gothic Line offensive of the Allies. In 1948, he was appointed commanding officer of the II Army Corps and thus contributed to the victory of the Hellenic Army in the Greek Civil War. Tsakalotos also served as Greece's ambassador in Yugoslavia in the 1950s.
