Kohipalaoa

Kohipalaoa

Kohipalaoa was the Princess of Oahu; also known as Kohepalaoa. She was born the second daughter of her father Piliwale, King of Oahu and mother Queen Paakanilea. Her elder sister was the Princess Kukaniloko, later Queen Regnant of Oahu. Nothing is remembered about Kohipalaoa, except that she wedded Prince Kaholi-a-Lale, son of Prince Lolale and Princess Kelea of Maui. Through their son the High Chief Kanehoalani, she and her husband became grandparent of Kaunuiakanehoalani, Queen Consort of Oahu; and mother of Kakuhihewa.
