Kūkaniloko was the 11th
Alii Aimoku of Oahu . She reign as the titluar chieftain or Queen of the island ofOahu and all its territories it may of claim at the time. She was Oahu's firstqueen regnant and of all eight islands. Her name should not be confused with the birthing stone on Oahu of the same name and definitely of older origin.She was the daughter of
Piliwale , 10th Alii Aimoku of Oahu, and his wife Paakanilea, whose descent is now not know. Her only sibling was a sister namedKohipalaoa , who marriedKaholi-a-Lale ] , her cousin, and son ofLo-Lale andKeleanohoanaapiapi . She succeed to the postition of Moi of Oahu after her father's death. She was the first Mo'i Wahine (Female Sovereign) orQueen regnant in Hawaiian history because her father, Piliwale, chose her as his successor rather than let the position fall to a male of junior lineage. Kaka'alaneo . Luaia was the great-great-grandson ofHanalaa , the 4thAlii Aimolu of Maui . They had two children,Kalaimanui a, a daughter, andKaiiwahimakaweo , of who, nothing further is known. Her daughterKalaimanuia succeed as the Queen of Oahu.Reference
