- Khader Grape Festival
The Khader Grape Festival is a
grape festival held annually on September in thePalestinian town of al-Khader nearBethlehem . It was established by the town municipality with the purpose to promote the town's primary crop — the grape. The festival is characterized by exhibitions of grapes and homemade grape products such as "dibs" (molasses made from grapes). Other exhibitions include embroidery and knitting, a local heritage exhibition of mills, grinders, and harvest tools. Several cultural events, such as poetry recitals, folk songs anddabke are held at the festival.
