Gobbins Path

Gobbins Path

The Gobbins Path on the coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland was a popular tourist attraction in Victorian times. Built by railway magnate Dean Berkeley Wise, it opened in 1902. In 1954 it was closed due to coastal erosion. Applications for funding from European and Heritage Fund sources as well as from the Northern Ireland government departments may lead to the path re-opening.
