Albert Peter Hall

The Rt Rev (Albert) Peter Hall was the Bishop of Woolwich from 1984 until 1996 [Crockford's Clerical Directory2008/2009 Lambeth, Church House Publishing ISBN 9780715110300] . Born on 2 September 1930 he was educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn and St John's College, Cambridge [Who's Who2008: London, A & C Black ISBN 9780713672576] .Ordained in 1956 he began his ecclesiastical career with a Curacy at St Martin,Birmingham after which he Rector of Avondale, Harare and then Birmingham before his elevation to the Episcopate. A keen mountain walker, Bishop Peter is married with two sons [ Debrett's People of Today London,1992 Debrett's ISBN 1870520092 ] and in retirement continues to serve the church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Birmingham.
