Bukit Payong (est. pop. (2008 census): 5989)Fact|date=September 2008 is a town in the Marang district of Terengganu, on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia.

The population comprises 97% Malays, 2% Chinese and 1% of other races. The town is bordering the district of Kuala Terengganu. It houses several government departments such as Jabatan Pertanian, Jabatan Haiwan, Peladang, and Pejabat Pos. There are two shopping centres which are Pasaraya Seri Intan and Kedai Wahab. Also there a lot of bundle shop in this town. East Coast Expressway interchage also existed in this town. It is also the seat of state constituency of the same name. Currently, the seat is hold by Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party or PAS.
