The Stockholm School of Economics in Russia, "SSE Russia" or "Стокгольмская школа экономики в России" is a business school in St Petersburg, Russia. It was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of the Stockholm School of Economics, with the purpose of supplying the economies of North-eastern Europe in general and Russia in particular with well-educated young professionals. The school is supported by the Swedish and Russian governments as well as other sponsors, including a variety of corporations and George Soros Open Society Institute.
The majority of the students are Russian nationals studying for Masters- and MBA-degrees; English is the language of instruction.
The school also started an executive MBA program (EMBA) in a cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
