Othoniel Joseph

Othniel Joseph (born August 25, 1971 in Englewood, New Jersey) grew up in Litchfield County, Connecticut, attended New Milford High School and studied music theory at the University of Bridgeport. Afterwards he moved to New York City where he became exposed to all different kinds of musical styles and influences. He has an innate passion for music and really feels that the culture of New York City, the people he's met along the way and its vibrant music community have played an important role in his development.

Joseph now resides just across the river in New Jersey, takes some classes and continues to develop his craft. He believes that whether success in music is in his future or not, that he will always write it and continue trying to out do himself. He consistently looks for ways to be pushed creatively and always seeks opportunities to work with and learn from others. He states, "I feel that in many cases, success is the worst thing that can happen to artists. I have a reverent fear of it." In the last couple of years he has taken on the alias of 7b whose music spans several genres. As 7b he also works with, produces and remixes several other artists.
