The Riding for the Disabled Association, also known as the RDA is an United Kingdom based charity[1] focused on providing horse-riding and carriage driving lessons to people with both developmental and physical disabilities.
In additional to running international operations, the RDA is also a member of the international umbrella group, the Federation Riding for the Disabled International. In the UK, the association is one of 16 members that make up the British Equestrian Federation.[2]

History
The organisation was formed in 1965 called the Advisory Council on Riding for the Disabled and has 9 member groups. By 1969, it adopted its current moniker and had grown to a membership of 80 groups.[3]
As of 2010, the association has nearly 500 member groups representing over 25,000 participants and 18,000 volunteers.[4]
