The are two versions: an "A-Type", in which Zoffy points his ridge hands at his ColorTimer and shoots a blue beam from his right fingers, and a "B-Type", in which Zoffy shoots a red "L"-style beam.
*Z Beam: A red lightning beam shot from the fingers of both hands. Used on Birdon.
*Ultra Frost: A freezing mist fired from both hands. Used to preserve the body of Ultraman Taro, who had been killed by Birdon.
*Ultra Twinkle Way: A road of light that transports objects in space. Used to transport the body of Ultraman Taro, who had been killed by Birdon, back to Ultra Planet.

*Ultra Magic Ray: A polyhedron-shaped item that emits a high amount of energy. In Episode 35 of "Ultraman Ace", Zoffy used this to evaporate an entire lake in Ultraman Ace's fight against Dreamguiras.
*Ultra Cross Guard: In the movie "", Zoffy crossed his arms to defend himself against a sudden assault from a spaceship. After that, he counterattacked with a red A-Type M87 Beam that vaporized the spaceship.
*Ultra Charge: While on Planet Golgoda, Zoffy, Ultraman, Ultra Seven, and Ultraman Jack gave some of their energy to Ultraman Ace, allowing him to destroy Ace Killer with the Space Q attack.
*Ultra Reverse: A special technique used by the Six Ultra Brothers, in which they manipulate the conscience and behavior of humans that they possess. In Episode 34 of "Ultraman Taro", the Ultra Brothers merged with ZAT members, and then with a six-member volleyball team practicing in the neighborhood, to hide from Alien Temperor.

History

Zoffy is Ultraman's chief in the Land of Light and upon his first appearance was referred to as "Commander" by the hero. When Ultraman became desperate in his tough fight against Zetton, Zoffy came to Earth to rescue him. While he arrived too late to help Ultraman battle the creature, he was able to save his subordinate's life by temporarily separating him from his human host so he could be treated properly at their homeworld.

Zoffy would appear many times during the various Ultra Series, normally to help combat a dire threat. He was not always so lucky in these appearances, being killed on a few occasions and having to be rescued himself. Over the years, more information was learned about Zoffy, such as the various metallic studs on his shoulders and chest being medals of honour and that while the superior of many of the Ultras (including Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Ace and Ultraman), Zoffy himself reports to the Father of Ultra.

As captain of the Ultras, he was responsible for sending many Ultras to Earth to defend it. He has never taken a human form (like Ultraseven did) or taken a human host (like many Ultras, including the original Ultraman) did, until the end of the series featuring Ultraman Mebius, where he and Shingo Sakomizu (サコミズ シンゴ, Sakomizu Shingo) - Commander of the new Crew GUYS, merged and participated in the final battle against Emperor Seijin, combining the power of his M78 Beam with Mebius Phoenix Brave's Mebium-Knight Shot to destroy Emperor Seijin. He generally borrows a human's form on occasions when he needs to meet with his fellows as humans. Apparently strict and somewhat humorless, Zoffy takes his job seriously, as demonstrated when he considered using his authority to strip Ultraman Taro of his position for various offences.

Theme song- Ballad of Zoffy

Toru Fuyuki originally composed a calm, serene, and haunting theme for Zoffy to be inserted in scenes in Ultraman Ace where he appeared. It was inserted, but a vocal track was supposed to be dubbed over the instrumental piece. However, it wasn't recorded until much later, when Ichirou Mizuki recorded the vocal track for a special CD released in conjunction with Ultraman's 30 Anniversary.

Movie

In his own "movie" released in 1984, Zoffy is a narrator to the audience. He starts by telling the viewer that monsters are awakening on earth and then sends Ultraman and his other brothers to deal with them. This leads to old footage from the old Ultraman series being shown. Every Ultraman from the original guy all the way to Ultraman 80 has at least one battle shown.

Conveniently they use old footage of when the other Ultras came down to assist each other in order to make the story believable. Some classic fights include Ultraman Vs Gomora, Ultraseven Vs King Joe, Jack Vs Knuckle seijin, Ace Vs Aribunta and the 6 Ultra Brothers Vs Temperar seijin.

Later Events

In 2006, Ultraman Zoffy is seen once again in the Ultraman Mebius series. He frequently comes to the rescue when Mebius was in mortal danger.
