Gavin Barwell

Gavin Barwell was until May 2006 the Operations Director of the Conservative Party of the United Kingdom. He was educated at Trinity School of John Whitgift, Croydon and Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1993, he was President of the Cambridge Union Society. Before the 1997 UK general election, Barwell was Special Adviser to John Gummer, then Secretary of State for the Environment, on housing, local government and urban regeneration policy.

He currently is a Conservative Councillor in the Coulsdon West Ward of the London Borough of Croydon and the Cabinet Member for Resources & Customer Services.

He is the Parliamentary Candidate for the Conservatives in Croydon Central.
