Robert "Bob" Kelleher (born March 30, 1923) of
Butte, Montana is an attorney and the 2008 Republican Party candidate for theUnited States Senate . A colorful figure andperennial candidate , he served in elective office during the 1972 Montana Constitutional Convention. Since that time, he has run for numerous political offices on various party tickets, including those of the Democratic Party and the Green PartyKelleher's political beliefs are consistent, long-standing, and cross party lines. He is best known for advocating that the
United States adopt aParliamentary system of government. He is a strongpro-life advocate, but also favorssingle-payer health care .
