Tamera Darvette Mowry (born July 6, 1978) is an American actress. She first gained fame for her role opposite her identical twin sister Tia Mowry in the sitcom "Sister, Sister".

Biography

When Tamera Mowry was a child she and her sister pursued their dream in a city play in California. Tamera and Tia played the two daughters of the play. While they were acting a famous producer discovered their talent as actors and talked to them and their mother about the acting career he was offering Tamera and Tia. In later years, they became teenagers and the producer called them and said he called up some people and talked about getting a television show called "Sister, Sister". They went to make the show and there were hundreds of people trying to see their first making of the show. "Sister, Sister" features Tim Reid as Ray Campbell who runs a limo service, Jackée Harry as Lisa Landry who is a fashion designer, Marques Houston as Roger, and most of all Tia and Tamera Mowry as the main charcters in the show. Mowry has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award and a NAACP Image Awards for best actress in a comedy.
