Armenians in Bahrain

Armenians in Bahrain refers to ethnic Armenians living in the Kingdom of Bahrain. They number around 50.

The Armenians live mainly in the capital Manama.

They are Armenians originating from Lebanon, Syria that were attracted by the economic opportunities provided by the country, and they came to Bahrain for jobs.

Religion

The Armenians in Bahrain are Armenian Apostolics (Orthodox Armenians) belonging to the Armenian Apostolic Church and under the jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia.

The Catholicossate of the Great House of Cilicia (also known as the Holy See of Cilicia) has established the "Diocese of Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf Countries" headquartered in Kuwait, but also serving the Armenians in the Gulf including Qatar.
