Secretary of State of Indiana

The Secretary of State of the U.S. state of Indiana is one of five constitutional officers originally designated in Indiana's State Constitution of 1816. It is an elected position.

The Office of the Secretary of State has four divisions:
* [http://www.in.gov/sos/business/ The Elections Division] , which is responsible for overseeing elections, registering candidates, and monitoring campaign finance.
* [http://www.in.gov/sos/business/ The Business Services Division] , which charters corporations, registers trademarks, notaries public, and liens under the Uniform Commercial Code, and issues apostilles.
* [http://www.in.gov/sos/securities/ The Securities Division] oversees the state's securities industry, as well as mortgage brokers, retirement facilities, and collection agencies. It is also responsible for administering state and federal securities laws.
* [http://www.in.gov/sos/dealer/ The Dealer Division] is responsible for the oversight and regulation of motor vehicle dealerships, including dealers for automobiles, watercraft, off-road vehicles and automobile salvage.

The current Secretary of State is Todd Rokita.
