David Cantré was the lead vocalist for the Belgian
boy band Good Shape, from1993 to1996 .After several successful singles and two albums, the band broke apart after producer Koen De Beir decided to leave the band. David had some minor successes afterwards with other bands consisting of former members of Good Shape. First, the three remaining members, David (Cantré), Filip (Vervaeke) and Geert (De Meyer) formed Impact. After only one single the band already split up, due to dissappointing sales and low popularity, compared to Good Shape. After the inevitable demise of Impact, former members David and Geert formed yet another band called B'Four. This band consisted of just the two of them. They released one single, "Soul", and one eponymous album, which contained only cover songs. In 2006, David got back in the recording studio with the band "It's F'Rozen".They played a mixture of Dutch, rythmic Rock, Pop and Folk.Their manager Dirk Bosman saw a bright future ahead for his new band and hoped they could even match legendary Flemish band Clouseau. His hope was short-lived, because David quit the band, had a small success as solo artist, and is now back on stage with Good Shape, performing a remix of their biggest hit "Take My Love".
This remix was produced by Regi, best known for his work with Belgian
Vocal Trance BandMilk Inc. .They brought their remixed single for the first time on the Belgian music show "Tien om te Zien", which, litteraly translated, stands for "Ten To See", commonly abbreviated inBelgium as TOTZ. Even though today's youth were not old enough to know Good Shape, the single was widely appreciated in Belgium. The question remains whether or not Good Shape will make a full, official comeback.Professional career
David still earns his living as a fire fighter in the Belgian town of
Ghent .External links
