Formation

Good Shape was a Belgian boysband, that had their highlight in Belgium in the mid-90's. The band consisted of Koen De Beir, the producer/keyboard player, back-up vocalists Filip Vervaeke and Geert De Meyerlead, and leadsinger David Cantré.

Singles

The band started in 1993 and released their first single "Take My Love" that same year. The song was written by Koen De Beir and Phil Sterman. Several months later their second single "Give Me Fire" was released, again written by Koen De Beir and Serge Ramaekers. The song skyrocketed to the top of the Belgian charts in 1994 and was voted Summer Hit that year on the Belgian radio station Radio 2. Their third single, "King Of Your Heart", became #1 in the charts the year afterwards. Following their recent success, they re-released their debut single "Take My Love" in the Netherlands, and signed another contract at WEA Records to start distributing their music across Germany.

Albums

Their debut album "Maniacs Of Love" was released in the beginning of 1995. Seven months later, in November of that same year, their follow-up album "Come Closer" was released. Later on, the band released new singles "Close To You", "I Can Love You / Bang Your Head"; "I Will", "Sing Like The Children" and "Stay The Night". "Never Gonna Give Up" was the last single Koen De Beir wrote for Good Shape. He left the band in 1996.

Associated Acts

That very same year, in 1996, the three remaining members David, Geert and Filip started a new band, Impact. After having released the rather unsuccesful single "I Want You", the band split up.

Lead vocalist David and Geert then started another band, B'Four, between the two of them. They released their first single "Soul" in 1996, with music and lyrics written by Geoffrey Williams and Simon Stirling. In 1997, B'Four released their eponymous album, which would be their only one. B'Four, the album, consisted mainly of cover songs.
