Bahrām Chubineh

Lieutenant General Bahrām Chubineh is a character in Ferdowsi's "Shāhnāmeh". A hero of Iran, Bahrām gradually rebels against the Sassanids, ultimately setting up his own parallel monarchy.

He was the brother of Gordiyeh who, according to traditions outside the "Shāhnāmeh", was also his wife.
